Introduction

The Directorate of Survey and Mapping (DSM) being the national surveying and mapping authorities of Namibia, is mandated to provide professional services and advice to government institutions, the private sector and the general public on all matters related to the profession.

Strategic Objectives

Its objective is to collect, process, maintain and disseminates up-to-date and accurate geo-spatial data sets to clients:

Ensure provision of fundamental Geospatial datasets in support of National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) for attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
Re-affirm Namibia’s international boundaries with her neighbour;
State Land Survey; and
Ensure the extension of the Continental Shelf margins beyond 200 nautical miles
